Real Madrid are said to be interested in signing Juventus defender Merih Demiral. The Whites are doing pretty well in defense this season, with Eder Militao and David Alaba forming a great combination. However, it seems more depth is desired, and according to sources, Carlo Ancelotti has asked Real Madrid executives to inquire about Demiral's availability.

Demiral is currently on loan at Atalanta, who have the option of buying the center-back for € 27million. However, the 23-year-old has only made 11 league appearances for the Bergamo side, with sporadic appearances. Juventus is likely to sell the defender.
Real Madrid seems to be on a good track this season. They currently sit at the top of La Liga table with 46 points and will play against Valencia in their next match. In the UEFA Champions League, Real Madrid will match up against French giants, Paris Saint-Germain in the one-eighth stage of the competition.
