Thistledowns mediocrity is unacceptable. We can do better.
Accra Hearts of Oak after drawing one all with neighbours Accra Great Olympics presented a Jersey to Ghanaian rooted English international Callum Hodson Odoi who was present at the stadium. It was a beautiful scene as the boy's father played for the rainbow boys back in the 70s.
However one thing that caught the attention of many fans is the English Premier league logo in the numbers written at the back of the Jersey.
This ignorance of the club and fans can be really serious if the English Premier league decides to take them on, l mean the legal way.
The Ghana premier league has its own beautifully designed logo which was introduced at the beginning of the on going season and it would've been prefect to advertise the league on this biggest platform but yet still our taste and continuous attachment to the premier league reigned supreme here.
Ghanaians must learn to love and cherish their own. We cannot be doing this if we really want to grow our local game. The new game in football is branding and we ought to be serious about that.
