Beating WAFA 3-0 is a History For Aduana Stars - Asare Bediako

Head coach of Aduana Stars, Joseph Asare Bediako has described their thumping win over West Africa Football Academy as a piece of good “history”.

The “Ogya Boys” have struggled in the past years to beat WAFA by a three goal margin but managed to put that past the Academy Boys this term. Hafiz Adams’ opener on the 29th minute and Emmanuel Gyamfi’s brace - one in each half sunk WAFA in a 3-0 defeat at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in week six. Asare Bediako said: “I’m very excited, you know beating WAFA here by 3-0 is a history.

“Because for the best of knowledge, we have been beating only 1-0 so beating them 3-0 is a remarkable feat,” Asare Bediako said. “I was saying the other time we have new players so we have to take our time to put them together so that they can gel well. “The secret is we have been training, we have been pairing them one after the other to see who can pair perfectly.” Asare Bediako added.

The victory sends Aduana into second on 11 points from six games - two behind leaders, Asante Kotoko who face King Faisal in week six at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday. West Africa Football Academy have been left with five from 18 available points and will next face AshantiGold in week seven at the Sogakope Park. Aduana on the other hand will travel down South as guests of Great Olympics in week seven.
