Ghanaian international Kudus Mohammed has been named in UEFA Champions League team of the week following his instrumental performance for Ajax. The midfielder scored a goal and provided assist in the champions league opener against Rangers at home.
Kudus Mohammed was included in the starting eleven of Ajax, playing in an unusual position of a striker.
Kudus Mohammed, 22, contributed immensely to Ajax getting the first goals a minute later added second goal and a personal first goal of the season.
On his way to score the goal, Kudus Mohammed received a sweet pass half way the line, beating the opposing player to find himself in the final third, and smashed the ball past the goalkeeper.
Kudus Mohammed was adjudged man of the match at the end of of the game.
In the UEFA Champions League team of the week, Kudus Mohammed was included in the midfield with two other midfielders. They will play as men behind the attacking trident.
Robert Lewandowski, who score hat trick for Barcelona and Leroy Sane lead the attack for UEFA Champions League team of the week. Leroy Sane hit brace for Bayern Munich last night.
