Otto Addo Steps Down As Black Stars Coach After World Cup Exit
By TC.Oceans (self media writer) | 2 months ago
The Head Coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo has resigned from his position as head coach following failure to qualify for the round of sixteen in the World Cup.
Many Ghanaians were left heartbroken after the Black Stars failed to get the long-awaited revenge on Uruguay since the 2010 South African World cup encounter. Ghana lost 2:0 to Uruguay and both teams failed to qualify for the next round.
Shortly after the loss, Otto Addo announced his resignation. "I said when I started as an assistant in October last year, it was clear I will stop after the World Cup. At the moment me and my family see our future in Germany. I like my role at Dortmund. We're very happy there. From the first day I said if we qualified for the world cup, I would resign after, no matter what. Even if we were World Champions" Otto Addo submitted while speaking to the press.
He is expected to return to his role as Scout coach with Borussia Dortmund in Germany.
