Many a times, football does not just bring out the beauty, joy and fan of the game as we always see. In fact, sometimes those on the other side, loosing, also express sadness, hatred and to some extent grieve as one does for a departed love one, just for the passion of the game. These expressions from soccer and other sports makes it clear that these have so many lessons to be learnt for life.
Another lesson has been seen as Chelsea won the Champions League for the second time as a Kai Havertz goal secured a tense 1-0 victory over Manchester City in Saturday's final in Porto, shattering Pep Guardiola's dream of lifting the trophy for another record. Havertz rounded Ederson to score three minutes before halftime at the Estadio do Dragao and the Chelsea players ran to the far end of the pitch to celebrate with the German.
Coach Thomas Tuchel, full of energy on the touchline punched the air in celebration, and later jumped with joy on the pitch after Chelsea held on for victory in the second half over City (the citizens of Manchester).
The London club may have finished fourth in the Premier League, a huge 19 points behind the champions City, but were again determined to claim the Ultimate title (UCL) from their league champions. Chelsea struggled, as was seen towards the end of the premiere league, to even secure their place for next season's championship.
This may mean alot to them and to many fans around the world. It also tells us that life is about fighting well till the end, even when things look shattered. When no one thinks you can earn anything meaningful, that is where your major success may come. Having made History, for winning while being fourth on the English Premiere league table, Chelsea can now rock shoulders with some historic clubs in the champions league for having won for the second time. Better fortunes to Manchester City and as they say 'life is indeed a lesson'.
