Blackstars Set New Record as they drop in Group Match for the first time in history

Ghanaians heart bleed profusely yesterday after losing their last group match to Comoros. Before the game , Ghanaians were very Optimistic of beating the National Team of Comoros Island , to be able to qualify to the next round , but unfortuanately for the blackstars, all their efforts is to no avail.

Ghana came last in the group, thus fourth , with a single point, Comoros third with three points , Gabon came Second with five points and Morocco topped the group with seven points.

Since 1963, Ghana did not drop at group stage before, therefore this is the first time in history Ghana was not able to make it to the next round of the African Cup of Nations Tournament. But unfortuanately for Ghanaians and the blackstars, this year, 2022 is a year not to remember in life.

The team have won the Africa Cup of Nations four times (in 1963, 1965, 1978, and 1982), making Ghana the third most successful team in the contest's history, along with Cameroon.

After the 1965 triumph, Ghana hosted and won the 13th Africa Cup of Nations in 1978, and four years later, won it again in Tripoli, Libya.

Although the team did not qualify for the senior FIFA World Cup until 2006 when a young leader by name Kwesi Nyantakyi revolutionized the game, Ghana has enjoyed tremendous success at the youth level, winning the FIFA World Under-17 title twice and finishing runner-up twice.
