Read Nana Addo's Message To The Black Satellites After Their Victory

The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo DankwaAkufo-Addo has sent a congratulatory message to the Ghana under- 20 team for winning under-20 African Cup of Nation.

Ghana made it to the final stage of the competition after beating Gambia by a lone goal in the semi finals, with Uganda also winning 4-1 over Tunisia.

The National U-20 team faced Uganda in the final match of the competition at the Stade Olympique de Nouakchott on Saturday, March 6 and they beat their counterpart by 2 unanswered goals.

The president after the match has sent a message congratulating the Satellites for making Ghana proud.

The president wrote, "congratulations to the Black Satellites for winning Ghana’s 4th AFCON U-20 trophy. Thoroughly deserved victory, and they’ve made Mother Ghana proud. What a way to celebrate our 64th Independence Anniversary!! Kudos to the team, and I look forward to receiving the playing, technical and management teams to Jubilee House".

The President hopes to welcome the team and management body on their arrival at home.

Indeed, the Black Satellites have made Ghana proud on the day Ghana is celebrating our 64th Independent Day.

Even though, the usual cerebration of the independent day could not take off because of the Covid-19 pandemic but the Black Satellites have brought joy on faces of many Ghanaians.
