Asante Kotoko continue their preparations for next season in Ghana as against a planned schedule to travel to Turkey to intensify preparations for the new league season. The club explains that their inability to leave the shores of Ghana for Turkey is due to delay in the visa processing.
”Our planned trip to Turkey for the second phase of our preseason which was originally schedule for the 14th of August 2022 has been postponed due to visa processing delays. A new date will be communicated soon.”
In a swift move to keep the team in check and in a preparatory atmosphere, Asante Kotoko have put in place a friendly game against Panthers FC, at the Legon Park this morning, the club has confirmed.
Asante Kotoko started the first phase of preseason in Accra last week as they intend to travel to Turkey and continue their preparations. As part of preseason activities in Turkey, Asante Kotoko will be playing Nigerian club River Club.
With the latest development, it is yet to be known if management in collaboration with the technical team will cancel the foreign trip and concentrate on domestic preparations.
Asante Kotoko will be competing in CAF Champions League, after drawing Burkina Faso side RC Kadiogo in the first round of preliminary stage.
