RTU are hovering around the relegation zone with 34 points, just two points above the bottom three with four matches to end the campaign.
The club gained promotion to the GPL last season fron the DOL Zone One League, but, they have failed to glitter all season and are now fighting tooth and nail to stay up.
There are four matches to end the season, and, they will stay up if they win these upcoming fixtures, but this is a big ask for them.
That journey starts on Sunday against fellow strugglers Eleven Wonders at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, Tamale.
This is a home game for RTU, and, it represents a good opportunity for then to wrestle the three points against a side they sit just above on the table.
After Sunday's game at home, RTU will then trek to Anyinase to face a Karela United side that has always been difficult to beat at the Crossby Awuah Memorial Park.
The Pride of the North will then return to base to host King Faisal Babes in Tamale in a contest they need to win against their fellow strugglers to enhance their chances of staying up.
RTU's final game of the season will be an away encounter against reigning champions Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium.
They will hope by then they are mathematically safe from the drop otherwise, they will have to deploy every football trick they know to win this fixture, and, retain their GPL status for another season.
Realistically, they need to win all of their remaining home games and hope the results of those around them on the table plays in their favour to stay up.
