Razak Abalora must be calm in the face of difficulties - Abukari Damba

Ex-Ghana goalkeeper, Abukari Damba has advised Kotoko goalkeeper, Razak Abalora to be calm in the face of difficulty.

The Black Stars goalkeeper has come under sharp criticisms after his mistake gave Morocco, a 1-0 win over Ghana in an international friendly in Rabat on Tuesday.

Damba believes the former WAFA goalkeeper must remain calm and strong following the incessant criticisms.

“It is Abalora who has to take up the mantle himself, he has to bring himself out to say that I accept every responsibility and I need to work at it.

“He needs to be given time off to work on these challenges and come back stronger.

“He has a problem and we have to appreciate it.

“Let us not aggravate the problem by putting more pressure on him because he is under pressure so let’s help him out.” Abukari Damba told Adamu Muftawu.

Ghana lost 1-0 to Morocco with the goal scored by Jawad El Yamiq’s free header.

The Black Stars will next play Ivory at the Cape Coast Stadium on Saturday.
