It was announced by Accra Hearts of Oak on the 24th of this month that Salifu Ibrahim will be out of the Hearts of Oak team for 3 weeks after his injury in the game against Karela United in the match-week 14 league fixture.
“Salifu Ibrahim will be out for 3 weeks after he fractured his right little toe during our game against Karela United. We will continue to update our fans on any new development.” - Hearts of Oak
The last two matches played by Salifu before Karela proved to be worthy but his short stay on the pitch against Karela caused the Phobians a lot.
It is now binding on Awako to prove worthy in the absence of Salifu but it does not look likely that he can replicate fate that Ibrahim Salifu has set.
Most of the times that Awako has been field as the creative player, he has not been impressive at all. Hearts of Oak will lack the creative edge and ability to unlock defense of other teams.
The next three weeks does not look bright for the Phobians with Awako as their creative player.
