The Scorpions, Lions and Atlas all emerged victorious during Tuesday 8th June 2021 international friendlies between their fellow African counterparts.
In what was dubbed an intense fixture, it lived to it's high expectations as Senegal defeated Cape Verde 2-0 in Tuesday’s international friendly played at Stade Lat Dior.Goals from Idrissa Gueye and Sadio Mane was enough for the Lions of Teranga to defeat coach Bubista’s Blue Sharks. Although there were no goals in the first half. Gueye struck in the 55th minute before Sadio Mane added the second four minutes later from the penalty spot after ismaila Sarr was fouled in the box to cement Senegal's win in the encounter.
Elsewhere, Morocco edged out Ghana 1-0 at Rabat’s Stade Prince Moulay Abdallah. El Yamiq’s 69th minute strike separated both teams as the Black Stars of Ghana lost after an end to end intense filled match.The Black Stars take on Cote d’Ivoire on Friday at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
At the Emirhan Sport Center Stadium, Togo lost 1-0 to Gambia. James Gomez scored the Scorpions’ winner in the 74th minute.
Tom Saintfiet’s Gambia would be hoping to make it three wins when they take on Kosovo on Friday.
Benin Republic and Zambia drew out a 2-2 draw in their international friendly.Both teams scoring twice but none could find the decider as both shared the spoils of the game.
