The list of nominations for the CAF awards ceremony has been identified on the internet and astonishingly the Black Stars of Ghana was out of the national team of the year selection.
Some of the teams found in this particular category include the likes of Egypt, Cameroon and Senegal who are not surprising inclusions in this particular category inferring from their performance in the recently held AfCON tournament.
One shocking news with regards to the CAF awards category for the national team of the year nomination list is the inclusion of the Comoros Islands football team at the expense of Ghana’s Black Stars.
It’s safe to say a selection that has an underdog like Comoros with Ghana being sidelined indicates the Black Stars of Ghana have not really lived up to expectations in recent years and it’s safe to say they’ve shown a clear indication of why they need to up their game in the upcoming football competitions as the World Cup approaches.
