The Overlord of Waala Traditional Area, Naa Fuseini Pelpuo IV has gifted the Military based in Wa a Bull after they won a final friendly match against some youth of Wa tagged "magazine boys". These boys are engineers in the north eastern part of Wa where all mechanics are based, magazine has over 40 types of engineers beginning from scraps engineers, welders, electronic and electrical engineers and many others.
The overlord had initially organized a match between Workers of Wa Slaughter house and Mechanics at Wa Magazine, the Workers of Magazine won by a lone goal whilst the Military played against 'Media 11' and won by 2 goals to nil.
The final match was organized today 30th of July 2021 at the Wa-Tendamba sports stadium, there were several sporting activities, the overlord was present with his secretary Jimpenhi Naa Kadri Ibrahim. The game started and despite several chances, ended in a draw, this urged the game into penalties and after which the military won by 5 goals to 4.
Wa Naa Handed over the Cow to the Military as the overall price for Winning the Final game.
It can be recalled that Military men had physically assaulted residents of Wa in the Upper West Region on the 1st of June 2021, the development was recorded by some media houses and as a result the Minister in charge of National Security was invited into the Region by the Upper West Regional Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, tye Chairman for Parliamentary Select Committee on Security, Mr. Kennedy Agyapong visited the Wa Naa's Palace to officially apologise for the unethical behavior meted out to residents of the Municipality.
The military has assured of calm and discipline from now onwards.
