Having shown palpable erraticness since the inception of the season, the management of Manchester United are desperate to make few more additions to improve the team's consistency. Latest report coming from Manchester United camp claims, the red devils have made a staggering bid of £68million for Athletico Madrid versatile midfielder, Marcos Llorente.
All this while, Manchester United were scouting Llorente clandestinely and are convinced enough that, the 26 year old would be a success at Old Trafford. Llorente is naturally a defensive midfielder, nonetheless his balmy pace, athleticism and finishing sees him getting deployed occasionally as striker, a winger and an attacking midfielder under Diego Simeone, where he always excelled appreciably.
His versatility would surely be of immense help to the red devils. Intuitively, the move would spell the end of 23 year old Dutch flop, Donny Van de Beek at Manchester United. However, the move would prove difficult to push through as Athletico Madrid remain reluctant to sell the player. Manchester United are reportedly ready to pay up to €80million to make the move happen.
