Under contract until June with Manchester United and lacking playing time in the Premier League, Edinson Cavani would like to join FC Barcelona at the end of the season.

Upon his arrival in October 2020 at Manchester United, Edinson Cavani saw his situation evolve after the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo during the last summer transfer window. The former PSG striker has seen his playing time decrease considerably. In addition, the 34-year-old suffered several injuries, which took him away from the field for a few weeks. Unhappy with his status at Manchester United, Cavani is considering leaving the Premier League according to the English press.

The Uruguayan striker could bounce back at FC Barcelona. The player would have already chosen his next destination since he would like to evolve under the orders of Xavi in Catalonia. A departure to FC Barcelona during the next winter transfer window would be unlikely due to the financial difficulties of Barcelona, but Cavani could arrive in Spain at the end of the season as a free agent.
