We deserve better
Alhaji Grusah, a member of the Black Stars steering committee, has clarified that it is never a crime for committee members to offer paid bonuses to participate in the World Cup in Qatar.

A member of the committee was reportedly paid $100,000 for appearing at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
This led to a debate about whether it was right for the Steering Committee to charge an attendance fee.
Alhaji Grusah said that because we risked our lives to get on the plane from Ghana to Qatar, we the control board must be paid this allowance.
For us, we always need precautions against risks. We were attacked in Nigeria. Where were the people who were criticizing us for taking this money?

The money may be huge, but we deserve it. Only a few journalists are making noise about it.
Alhaji Grusah went on to say that many things could have happened to them in Qatar, but they sighted off after and left Ghana.
We left our jobs here to serve Ghana, we could have been earning more than what we recipients. Will Ghanaians come for the money we earn, he said.
