Patrick Asmah has been suspended by Kotoko for the rest of the season.

Asmah, who was included in the club's last game against Legon Cities, affirmed that he had gotten a letter from the club about his suspension.

"Indeed, I have gotten a report from the specialised group that I have been suspended until the end of the time," he told Oyerepa FM.

As indicated by reports, Asmah had a warm contention with the specialised group of Kotoko drove by Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum after their home loss to Legon Cities.

In his post-match interview after the Real Tamale United 2-1 loss in match week 25, Prosper Ogum communicated dissatisfaction with Patrick Asmah after his tackle in the container prompted a punishment for the Tamale-based side.

Asmah caught Ronald Frimpong in the case, which was changed completely to hand the host the lead. Kotoko wound up losing 2-1 at the Aliu Mahama arena.

"Assuming that you take a gander at the punishment we surrendered, it was excessive; Patrick Asmah was excessive," Prosper Narteh told StarTimes.

Patrick Asmah has shown up for Kotoko this season. However, he has battled to solidify his spot in the primary group because of Imoro Ibrahim's structure.
