Good news for Asante Kotoko as trio recover from injury ahead of Sunday's GPL game with AshantiGold

There is some good news coming from the camp of Asante Kotoko ahead of their Ghana Premier League, (GPL) Matchday 12 encounter with AshantiGold SC.

The Porcupines will host their regional rivals at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday with Coach Prosper Ogum able to pick his two Cameroonian imports.

Georges Mfegue and Frank Etouga Mbella picked up knocks in their famous 2-0 victory over Aduana FC at Dormaa Ahenkro last Sunday, but, have been declared fit for the Ashanti regional derby on Sunday.

The duo have recovered in time for the weekend's game as Kotoko look to keep their leadership on the table.

Mfegue opened the scoring for Kotoko last Sunday but, had to limp off injured before the break and was replaced by Solomon Sarfo Taylor.

Mbella could also not finish the game as he was carried off with over a quarter of the game to play.

However, both will be available for selection on Sunday together with fellow striker Samuel Boateng who has missed Kotoko's last four matches due to injury.

The trio were at training on Thursday and today, to hand Coach Ogum a booster in his selection upfront ahead of Sunday's game.

Also available for selection will be Sheriff Mohamed after recovering from illness. Kotoko will however miss the services of Richmond Lamptey after he picked his third booking of the campaign and is suspended for this encounter.

Asante Kotoko will aim for their fourth home win of the campaign when they host the Miners in the Garden City as they chase a record extending 24th league title.
