Black Stars midfielder, Thomas Partey says they will be guided by history against Uruguay.
The Black Stars will clash against Uruguay on Friday in a repeat of the 2010 where the Uruguayans prevailed via the penalty shootouts in South Africa.
Thomas Partey says they will be guided by history against Uruguay on Friday in their third and final group H game.
"History is always there. Everyone was very sad at the time. It was very difficult... We have another chance and forget what happened.”
The Black Stars are making their fourth FIFA World Cup appearance after their maiden appearance at the 2006 edition held in Germany.
They made appearance at the 2010 and the 2014 FIFA World Cups in South Africa and Brazil respectively. The Black Stars managed to finish at the quarter finals in the 2010. FIFA World Cup before exiting at the group stage at the 2014 edition in Brazil.
