Premier League

Asante Kotoko back to winning ways.

The porcupine warriors have bounced back. After a tough last few weeks, they have put smiles on the faces of their supporters. As their coach rightly said after last week's defeat that they will go back and correct their mistakes, they did and they have defeated WAFA by a lone goal at the red bull arena in Sogakope. It wasn't a totally convincing performance from the lads but at the end of the 90 minutes, they took all the 3 points which were the most important thing. They will be going back to Kumasi beaming with smiles.

Frank Mbella Etouga was the hero of the day. He scored the decisive goal in the 5th minute of the encounter. That goal took his tally for the season to 18 goals 1 more than the record of club legend Eric Bekoe who scored 17 goals in the 2007/2008 season. Kotoko lifted the premier league title for that season. Mbella is also on course to break the record of Hearts legend Ishmael Addo who scored 22 goals in a single season.
