Ghanaian football lovers pretend to be shocked about the trending video, which captures how fishy and disgusting goals were scored in the Ashgold-InterAllies encounter. The match ended 7-0, as Prince Agyeman got a hat trick. After that Saturday match, a video made its way into the public domain and has, since then, generated a lot of hot allegations, discussions and criticisms. Why are we surprised or seem amazed?
This particular match isn't and can't be the very first in the 2020/2021 season that has raised eyebrows. Week in week out, people have claimed some matches were fixed or played with convenience. Yet, no one saw the GFA probing into such games. They included ones with visual evidences. The GFA, referees and top officials got fingered in some circumstances. On televisions and radios, the top body never made an attempt to fix the integrity of the league.
Today, the shame caused by the Ashgold last match has now forced the GFA to come out since the world is watching. No one can convince us that the top officials aren't involved in these scandals. After incidents in the lower divisions and, now, the Premier league proves clearly there are more revelations to be made in the coming days. Just relax and enjoy or cry.
