Lee addy who was born on 7th July, 1990 is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as a Central Defender. He has made impressive appearances for the national team and club sides respectively. He played for the Ghana National team at the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He was also named as the best defender in 2008 Ghana Premier League campaign.His aggression and commandeering nature at the back has not gone unnoticed and has been recognised by many football fanatics and pundits in Ghana.
Addy began his career in 2007 playing with Nania Fc.Soon after, in 2008, he moved to Bechem Chelsea playing in the Ghana Premier League.After an impressive display during the 2010 World Cup, he was monitored by Serbian Red Star Belgrade and signed for the club eventually. He was used as a regular starter for both club and country.He has also had stint with top-notch club which includes Nania Fc,AC Tripoli, Red star Belgrade, Dinamo Zagreb, Locomotiva Zagreb just to mention a few.
In recent days, the 30 year old has expressed his dissatisfaction regarding the treatment given to him by management of Ghana Premier League giants Accra Hearts of Oak.The 2010 Afcon runner up feels some management on the part of the Phobia side should have put in more effort for him to seal a deal to the side, as he has been training with the club for some time being.He added “It's about 70%-80% that am joining Hearts of Oak. We have not concluded yet but with the discussions, it's imminent," I have trained with them and even played a training match with them after which all present were happy with me”.
He also stated that it was not financial constraints that collapsed the deal as their chairman Togbe Afede was ever ready to splash out cash for the deal to happen. He added “Togbe Afede is doing all he can to build a new Hearts Of Oak but the people around him (Management) are not ready to help him. Togbe called me and expressed his readiness to sign me but I was left out eventually”.Hearts of Oak are preparing towards the commencement of the second round of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League and they sit third on the league log.
