Zézé Serge Eric signs a three-year contract to play for Ghanaian team Asante Kotoko.

Zézé Serge Eric, an Ivorian midfielder, has joined Kumasi Asante Kotoko, winners of the Ghana Premier League, on a free transfer.

A midfielder from Ivory Coast has been signed by Asante Kotoko ahead of the upcoming campaign, the midfielder signs a three-year contract with the Porcupine Warriors as a free agent, keeping him with the team through 2025.

The Ivorian hardworking midfielder is the sixth player signed by Nana Yaw Amponsah's management ahead of the 2022–23 football season and the fourth player with a foreign background.

In his first year with the Porcupine Warriors, Eric now plays alongside international players like Thomas Pele, Moise Pouaty, Stephen Mukwala, and the likes of Georges Mfegue and Franck Etouga, who helped Kotoko to win the league championship.

Kotoko is strengthening their squad in preparation for the CAF Champions League and the Ghana Premier League, which the CEO, Nana Yaw Amponsah, has stated numerous times that they are on a quest to build a CHAN-like team.

With the addition of former Asec Mimosas player Zézé Serge Eric to the current squad, supporters are aligned with management in their desire to build a CHAN-like team.

Kotoko have strengthened their midfield after Mudasiru Salifu left for Moldova's FC Sheriff, Emmanuel Keyekeh has also left the team, and utility player Mohammed Sheriff is still out with an injury.

The box-to-box midfielder has been training with the porcupines since last week, and after impressing the team's technical handlers with his performance, he was given a contract.
