It is an obvious fact that the highly rated defender is key to put pressure on the backline of Hearts of Oak which will let them put in much effort. To say that is a dream come true for the coach, this was a player they he has personally dove his heart to work with him. The level of discipline at the camp of the boy is too amazing. Playing to instructions is also part of the attribute of the defender. He set the standard of been versatile by playing at the Center-back and right back. Caleb put pen to paper on a two and half year deal that will keep him at the Accra Sports Stadium until 2023. The versatile defender is a graduate of West African Football Academy. After successful talks between officials of the club and the representatives of the player, a deal has been reached today with Caleb Amankwah signing a contract to become a Phobian.
“Accra Hearts of Oak has reached an agreement with highly rated Defender, Caleb Amankwah for two and half years. “Caleb has previously had stints with West African Football Academy and Aduana Stars Football Club,” Hearts of Oak announced on Friday afternoon. With experience from the last few years, the full-back has developed his game in defense and can now excel when deployed in a centre-back role. The former Aduana Stars defender joins Hearts on a free transfer in a two-and-a-half-year contract. Amankwah has made five appearances for the Dormaa based club in the Ghana Premier League this season before his contract expired and opted not to renew his stay before the start of the 2020/21 season.
The problem at the camp of Hearts of Oak now is all about competition. Checking from the tall list of players, the presence of coach Samuel Boadu has placed the players in some tight corner putting in their best all the time. Considering their matches played, they have played with urgency and stability at the back with three matches on a clean sheet run. And they are amassing the points as well, this tells you that in the second round Hearts will be a difficult side to play against. Amankwah has been free since his contract with Ghana Champions Aduana Stars in December. Hearts of Oak unveiled the lanky defender before the commencement of the second round of the Ghana Premier League. The Medeama SC trainer was been tasked to identify and prepare a team that will represent Ghana in the maiden edition of the WAFU U-15 tournament to be staged in Burkina Faso next month. The scouting program will take place in the ten football regions in the country from Tuesday November 12 to Wednesday November 20, 2019.
