Asamoah Gyan targets Black Stars return at 2022 World Cup.

Ghana's untouched top scorer, Asamoah Gyan, says he is enthusiastic about playing for the Black Stars at the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be organized in Qatar.

Gyan's last appearance for the nation was during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations game against Tunisia and in spite of the long nonappearance from the public group, the player is yet to resign from worldwide football.

The 36-year-old's last aggressive season came during the 2021 Ghana Premier League season where he included multiple times for Legon Cities.

In a meeting with BBC's John Bennett, Gyan conceded he isn't completely fit right now and is striving to be looking good.

"Anything can occur, it has occurred before back in 1994 when Roger Milla returned from retirement to play in the World Cup," he said.

"In any case, I haven't resigned at this point, I haven't reported my retirement, I have been out for very nearly two years now because of wounds and my body closing down.

"I simply have to get my body back in shape, so I have begun preparing obviously and I'll perceive the way my body responds to playing cutthroat football.

"Ability wise, everything is there as of now, so I simply need to get ready actually and then, we will see what happens.🇬🇭🇬🇭
