He's A Great Journalist But His Prophecy Didn't Work This Time On Fabio Gama [Details]

I have seen many explanations and defense to Gary Al-Smith’s post some few months ago on Fabio Gama before he even kicked a ball in this country.

Many conclude that Gary was right because Fabio had just been a journeyman which is true and maybe didn’t deserve the hype.

If it had ended there it would have been fine.

But it didn’t, it continued with these two statements which i will dissect.

1. I can go onto a field right now, get a cameraman and editor and put a Dope video of myself on YouTube.”

Statement one clearly tells us that even though he agreed he was a player, he could have just done some highlights and uploaded on YouTube to prove he was good.

I don’t think anyone of us in any field we find ourselves would appreciate that comment from anyone regardless of how they knew us. Imagine saying Gary could just have been posting articles of other people we don’t know just to look good.

2. You can’t hype what you don’t know, And this young Brazilian is nothing special”

This is the easiest of it all, before he kicked a ball on this continent and country Ghana his end was stated nothing special.

More like a player signed for nationality than his performance. Imagine Gama couldn’t prove himself in the league. This would have been called a prophecy and tactically analyzed opinion.

Fabio has proven himself a good player and arguably one of the best in the league. His Skill, vision, control , determination is noticed by all.

Let’s normalize people making wrong calls whiles still respecting them and their contributions.

We all get them wrong sometimes.
