Hearts of Oak's title hopes dash after a draw with Bechem United- Match Report

Bechem United shared points with Accra Hearts of Oak to shut their title race for the 2021-2022 Ghana Premier League after a 1-1 draw at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Saturday afternoon.

At halftime, Hearts of Oak and Bechem United were tied 1-1. From the high note of the whistle, the hunters fought the Phobians.

Accra Hearts of Oak, the defending champions, stayed hard in their opposition, preventing the Hunters from breaking the ties.

Clinton Duodu, a teen phenomenon, was a thorn in the Phobians' flesh, but Dennis Korsah basked him in his glory.

The hunters hunted until a corner kick in the 28th minute broke the game's tie.

Francis Acquah was on hand to slam the ball into the Hearts goal, putting the visitors ahead.

In the final minutes of the first half, the Phobians came back into the game with a counter assault that saw Suraj Seidu dash past the host defense.

Accra Hearts of Oak came out of the break torturing Bechem United's defense, but there were little openings for the Hearts attackers to exploit.

The hunters used the wings as usual, but the Phobians' defensive line held up well, with Dennis Korsah keeping Clinton Duodu out of the game.

Gladson Awako was a joy to watch, while his rival, adolescent wonder Clinton Duodu, kept both teams under pressure.

Accra Hearts of Oak came near to taking the lead, but the home team's safety pair of hands saved them.

The game ended 1-1 after 90 minutes
