Why Anas Is Trending In Twitter

Anas Aremeyaw Anas, a renowned Ghanaian investigative journalist, has resurrected on Twitter users' accounts.

This is in response to Speaker Alban Bagbin's remarks about the current state of Ghana football.

The sacking of former Ghana Football Association (GFA) chief Kwesi Nyantakyi, according to Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin, is to blame for Ghana's football difficulties. Mr Nyantakyi was fired as a result of Anas's accusations and his Tiger Eye PI's Number 12 exposé.

"When we were able to bring down Kwesi Nyantakyi, we also brought down Ghana football," Mr. Bagbin said after swearing in newly elected executives of the Parliamentary Press Corps.

The Speaker revealed that during a discussion with FIFA Executives, they questioned why Mr Nyantakyi was treated this way.

"When I told the FIFA Executives that I was the Speaker of Ghana's Parliament, they asked, 'What happened?' Why did you do that, you people?

"The value that he (Nyantakyi) brought to their meetings — he was well-liked, well-connected, and Ghana football was on the rise." We assumed we were dealing with Nyantakyi, but we had no idea we were dealing with the entire country of Ghana."
