According to CIES Football observatory, some of the factors that account for these ratings are, player salaries and club performance in different competition.

However players like Christopher Nkunku and Gavi couldn't make it to the list even if it is stretch to the top 20. Nkunku had a wonderful campaign with RB leipzig in the German bundesliga.
