Yaw Annor's move from Ashanti Gold to Ismaily is currently circulating on social media and other media platforms. It is reported that, he moved to the Egyptian club in a contract worth $200,000. But what people have failed to see is Ash Gold President's involvement with the player's transfer deal.
The President of Ashanti Gold club, Dr Kweku Frimpong was seen with Yaw Annor and the President of Ismaily SC, Yehia El-Komy at lsmaily Sporting Club in Egypt. The Ashanti Gold President, Yaw Annor and his entourage went there to finalize Yaw Annor's move to the Egyptian Premier League side.
This is good news for the both clubs, Yaw Annor and African football, but Dr. Kweku Frimpong has been banned from football, Ghanaian football and other related activities so how come he was allowed to be involved in one of his players transfer deal.
Last two months, CEO of Ghana Premier League side Ashantigold, Dr Kweku Frimpong was slapped with a ten-year ban and fined GHC 100,000 for match manipulation.
President of Ash Gold, Dr Kweku Frimpong
He was found guilty of playing a role in Ashanti Gold's match fixing scandal against Inter Allies on matchday 34 of last two years season, the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier league season.
The President of Ashantigold SC was charged for breaching Article 27(1)(2) of the GFA Code of Ethics 2019; Article 18(1) of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019, and Article 34(5)(a)(b) of the GFA Premier League Regulations 2019.
The above clearly shows that he was and he is not supposed to take part of any football activities for 10 years but here he was with Yaw Annor in Egypt taking part of the yaw Annor's transfer deal.
