Areas Manchester United Should Consider After Sancho's Deal

Reports today indicate that Manchester United is close to Jadon Sancho's deal after the club decided to meet Borussia Dortmund's £95 million valuations of the English winger.

Sancho will add an attacking depth to United's right side. With his attacking flair and dribbles, the red side of Manchester may have one of the deadliest attacks which will restore their trophy glory in Europe and England.

Nevertheless, Jadon Sancho's deal alone may not guarantee the Red Devils a trophy-laden season. There are other areas the club should also consider. Below are some of them.

1. Defensive Midfielder

In a typical 4-3-3 system, United may need an anchor they can rely on. Fred, Van De Beek, Pogba or Matic are not the solutions. There are defensive midfielders that may suit the style of the Red Devils.

Brighton's Bissouma is very good and well acquainted with English football. Another player that can solve the DM crises is Leeds United's Philips who impressed Southgate during the Three Lions Euro tournament.

2. Striker

It may sound weird but United need a Striker besides Cavani and Rashford. Mason Greenwood is a good option but you cannot put all the attacking duty on the youngster. Kane, Haaland, Andre Silva and Martinez are the hottest now.

3. A coach

Whereas it may not be the club's priority to get a coach, they should make a list. Ole Gunner may not be a bad coach but he is yet to deliver a prestigious trophy into the cabinet of the Red Devils. United may need to appoint a well-experienced coach.

4. Fullbacks

Wan Bissaka and Luke Shaw may need a potent backup. A Cancelo-type of full-back may become handy one day. Someone who can cross or dribble very well. United needs an offensive fullback. Most especially the right side.

With the right transfer, United fans may have a higher hope of securing a trophy this season.
