Chelsea and Scotland midfielder Billy Gilmour has tested positive for corona virus
The player played his first international debut for his national team last Friday against England in the ongoing EURO 2020 competition.
He came in as a substitute in their last match but unfortunately scotland lost 2-0 to Czech Republic.
Scotland FA has released a statement on their twitter account in confirmation of the positive test and the statement reads “The scottish FA can confirm that a member of the scotland National team playing squad, Billy Gilmour has tested positive for covid-19”and it continues"Having liaised with Public Health England since the positive test was recorded, Billy will now self-isolate for 10 days and therefore miss tomorrow's UEFA EURO 2020 Group D match against Croatia at Hampden."
This is a big blow to the scotland team as the young sensational midfielder absence will cost them a lot.
Anything either than win will see Scotland exit from the EURO2020.
His topnotch performance in their last match was an assurance that he was going to start against 2018 world cup runner up Croatia.
