Asante Kotoko: The Influence Of Fabio Gama Despite Draw In Techiman

Fans favorite Fabio Gama has opened his scoring account in the Ghana Premier League with a goal in Techiman. His goal did not only earn him a personal glory, but also plucked a point for Asante Kotoko in Match Day 18.

The euphoria that had characterized his arrival made it irresistible when he was on the sidelines due to fitness concerns. Many were those who kept probing why he was not featuring for his side.

Beyond Kotoko faithfuls, football loving fans across Ghana, exhibited a great deal of eagerness to see Gama in action.

Even when Gama was paying a constant visit to gymnasium to better his fitness record, his name did not elude the headlines. His time was  still in the labor room yet to be birthed. He kept his composure and worked through the hard line to justify his readiness for a league debut. The technical team, headed by Coach Johnson Smith then, came into terms with the need to give him a playing time.

After making his premier league debut in Tarkwa against Medeama in the first round, Fabio Gama pierced the heart of Asante Kotoko supporters with his delightful display. He charmed them with his silky touch, incisive passes, defence-splitting and delicate moves.

He kept his eye on the ball in matches, decided to feed strikers with balls even when he had the advantage to score.

Former Asante Kotoko goal prodigy Kwame Opoku reserved some kind words about Gama:

“I am very excited to play with Fabio Gama because he is a very fine player and would love to see him feature in every match with me on the field."

"He's my best friend and we have good talking conditions on the training grounds and this is just the beginning with a matter of time and fitness people see more than what they saw."

His goal in the Ghana Premier League arrived against Eleven Wonders. He will relish replicating same goal in subsequent matches.
