Despite missing a penalty in the Super Cup last Wednesday, there's no doubt that Tammy Abraham is a good player. Well, we may get to see his skills benefit Nigeria soon, given that he has made it clear he could still play for the country in the future.
Back in 2017, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, Amaju Pinnick, met with Abraham to get him to play for Nigeria, but that didn't work out. That same year, the 21-year-old was called up to the senior England team for two friendlies.
With a vacuum left in the Super Eagles team following Odion Ighalo's retirement, some experts have tipped Abraham as the best fit for the number nine position. When ACL sports recently asked him about the possibility of joining Nigeria, he said:
"Anything is still possible. I have not ruled it out completely but we will see."
Well, that sounds like an invitation for the NFF to make another move.
