Lawrence Ati-Zigi Set To Start In Goal For Ghana Against Portugal

The Ghana Black Stars have stepped up preparations for the World Cup after landing in Qatar a few days ago.

The team from West Africa defeated Switzerland in a pre-world cup friendly game and it is believed that the morale at the camp of the Black Stars is very high.

Due to injury ruling out  two of the very best goalkeepers in Ghana in the names of Jojo Wollacot and Richard Ofori, it has been rumoured that Lawrence Ati-Zigi is set to start in goal for the Black Stars in their first game against Portugal.

Ati-Zigi was in goal for the Black Stars in the preparatory game against Switzerland and was very active. His cross field pass was one of the key passes that led to the breakthrough goal for Ghana in the second half of the match.

Although he has been widely criticized by a lot of  Ghanaians, the Goalkeeper is currently one of the best in the team and it is expected that his name will be on the team sheet against Portugal.
