Great Olympics Talisman Maxwell Abbey Quaye Signs An Agreement With Hearts Of Oak Till 2025.

The iconic Accra Great Olympics and Black Galaxies attacker has reportedly finalised an agreement with MTN FA Cup Champions Accra Hearts of Oak on a free transfer, albeit his new team has not yet made the news public.

Maxwell Abbey Quaye, who joins Accra Hearts of Oak from Great Olympics on the transfer deadline, was seen as a necessity by the club, who cited the fact that he had scored twice in his previous three games against them.

After an outstanding performance with Great Olympics in the Ghana Premier League, the striker was approached by Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak, but it was reported that he was unwilling to move and that his priority was to find a team outside of Ghana that would develop him to the top.

The talented striker's decision to go from Accra Great Olympics to Accra Hearts of Oak has led Saint Osei, the Dade team's Public Relations Officer, to launch a vicious attack on Maxwell Abbey Quaye.

Saint Osei told Hot FM in Accra, "He is a very ungrateful player, we have invested in him for a very long time but see how he left us, very ungrateful player."

The MTN FA Cup Champions in recent times are recognised for snatching an in-form player from their city rivals, they took away Gladson Awako after he had excelled with them in the 2020/21 league season.

Abbey-Quaye has scored 20 goals for the Olympics in the last two seasons, therefore he will be the right striker for Accra Hearts of Oak in their bid to overcome Asante Kotoko to the Premier League next season and also make a strong case for the CAF Confederations Cup.

After the signing of Junior Kaaba, Eric Ofori Antwi, Zakari Yakubu, Wisdom Bumekpor, Yassan Ouatching, Eric Esso, and Konadu Yiadom Maxwell, Abbey Quaye became the eighth player to join the Rainbow outfit.

Maxwell Abbey Quaye is an option for Annor Walker in the CHAN Qualifiers showdown between the Black Galaxies and the Nigerians.
