Barcelona legend, Xavi Hernandez, speaks on Black Stars captain, Dede Ayew.

Yes, it is undisputed that Ghana has witnessed a long and withstanding trophy drought in major men's football competitions. Nonetheless, it's also undisputed that the country is packed with countless talents, not in football alone, but scattered across various fields of sports. But it could be witnessed that football has a greater percentage of tees talents, since it's the most popular main sport in the country.

One of these great football stars that Ghana has been blessed with is the son of Abedi Pele, Andrew Dede Ayew. The Dede Ayew, the current captain of the Black Stars, is one of the Ghanaians that have had a great carrier in Europe. His recent football life has predominantly been in England, where he played for Swansea n other great English clubs. After the just ended 2020/21 season, news broke in that Dede had signed for Al Sadd, one of the best teams in Qatar.

This club, hoping to dominate football, has the Spanish legend Xavi Hernandez as the their coach. Dede Ayew joined the club, has played his first match and has already scored his first goal. This left Xavi showering praises on the Ghanaian star. This was what Xavi had to say about him;

"He is talented and a very good player".
