Algerian giants, MC Algiers has announced the signing of Ghana international Joseph Esso as they augment their squad for the rest of the season.
Esso, joins the seven times Algerian champions from Dreams FC of Ghana on a three-year deal.
He becomes the third Ghanaian to sign for an Algerian outfit this close season after Daniel Lomotey joined ES Setif from WAFA and Kwame Opoku, who left Asante Kotoko to sign for USM Algiers.
Esso, 24, was part of the Ghana squad that qualified for the AFCON tournament last week, and, will hope to be part of Coach Charles Akunnor's side for the event in Cameroon next year.
In the ongoing Ghana Premier League, (GPL), Esso has scored 10 goals in 16 matches to propel Dreams FC to contention for a maiden top-flight title.
MC Algiers will hope the signing of the Ghana international, will help them in their quest to win the Algerian league, as well as aid in their campaign in the ongoing African Champions League competition they are in this year.
In the ongoing Algerian top-flight league, MC Algiers are in mid table as they chase an eighth league title in the country.
They have won the Algerian Cup eight times and in 1976, they became the first side from Algeria to win a continental title when they won the African Club of Champions Cup competition.
They will hope the addition of Esso will inspire them to challenge on all fronts for the rest of the season.
