CAF Prez to arrive in Ghana for 2-day visit

The Communications Director of the GFA, Henry Asante Twum, has revealed that Confederation of African Football CAF President, Mr. Patrice Mosepe will be arriving in Ghana today.

Patrice Mosepe is in Ghana for a visit and will be meeting with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and also the leaders of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Speaking to Peace Power Sports, Mr. Asante Twum said;

"Since March that Mr. Patrice Mosepe was elected as President of CAF, he has been visiting various countries and it's now the turn of Ghana. He is here for an important meeting with President Akufo-Addo. As known in Africa, Ghana is one of the power houses when it comes to football so it's expected that if a CAF president is elected, he visits the country to have first hand conversation with the GFA."

Mr. Henry Asante Twum went on to give the itinerary of the CAF President for the two-day visit which includes dinner with President Akufo-Addo and meeting with GFA sponsors, Corporate Ghana.

"We're expecting him this morning and the itinerary for today is that he will meet with President Akufo-Addo at a dinner. But before that, the 'Youth Connect' program, an initiative by President Akufo-Addo would be discussed so they see how best the youth in the country can live meaningful lives and then how best football can be developed in Africa."

He further revealed that there will be a breakfast meeting held at the Kempinski hotel on Thursday, 21st October 2021, to meet with Corporate Ghana, GFA sponsors and also all the present and past football administrators and also media men and women.

"It will be a very interactive meeting as they will discuss problems faced in Ghana football and how best he as CAF President can grow African football. However, our main program is the opportunity to meet Corporate Ghana and understand their issjes and concerns.

He will also meet with the Minister for Youth and Sports in a closed door meeting."

Patrice Mosepe, will also tomorrow afternoon be at the Dzorwulu Special School to have a little donation and interaction with inmates there.
