Electricity Company of Ghana said processes has commence a major tariff review, although they are yet to receive a power supply equipment from China .The last time the E.C.G got to this problem was about seven years ago. Where they started fixing cables in some part of Ghana. This made Power distribution less to the people Of Ghana. And made a demonstration to the Government to fix it. Although the problem became less, Until a new Government came to continue to get rid of the Problem. This Problem became more burden to the citizens. And due to this, they were demanding for a time table so that they will be aware on how the power is distributed.
As part of projects to improve power supply reliability and system voltages the Ghana Grid company (GRIDCO) in collaboration with electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) will undertake interruptions in power supply to facilities the work of contractors at various stages and times. In this regard to the Pokuase Bulk supply Point (BSP)which is near completion and sponsored by Melinium Challenge Coperation (MCC) under the auspices of the Melinium Development Authority (MIDA) will require a tie to GRIDCO's 330kv transmission line .
The exercise will require a complete shut down of the 330kv line thereby affecting power supply reliability to the Mallam BSP. The work lines starts from 10th May, 2021 to17th May, 2021 and will affect power supply at some part of Accra.
