The Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko Nana Yaw Amponsah, has called on the Government of Ghana to complete the renovation of Baba Yara Sports Stadium in time, for his club to be able to honor their home matches at the facility. He made this plea after his team played a goalless draw with ES Setif in Algeria.
He explained that, playing at Baba Yara Stadium will boost the confidence of the players, as they play in front of their numerous supporters and at their favorite grounds.
He counts on the government to be able to complete the facility to pave way for Asante Kotoko to revert to Kumasi.
The outcome means, the Ghanaian club is out of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Nana Yaw Amponsah believes the club is rebuilding a formidably squad for the future.
He expressed satisfaction over the performance churned out by Asante Kotoko In Algeria tonight.
“A good game was sold out by both Asante and ES Setif and they did their best”. He told Asempa sports.
He went on to show appreciation to the board of directors of Asante Kotoko, for making things possible for the team to travel to Algeria on Saturday.
