Ghana captain Andre Ayew reacts to Inaki Williams’ switch to play for Black Stars

Andre Ayew, the captain of the Ghana national team, welcomed Inaki Williams to the Black Stars.

On Tuesday, July 5, 2022, Inaki Williams, 28, declared via a tweet that he has transferred from playing for Spain to the Ghanaian national team.

"Each step we take ahead has a purpose of its own. a progression. a look into the future that is itself left behind. a relic. My parents instilled in me principles based on love, respect, and humility.

"They have shown me how to appreciate life. In the ongoing effort to develop emotionally and professionally as an individual while also continuing to grow and work in that direction.

"As a result, I believe the time is right for me to rediscover my roots, both within myself and in Ghana and Africa, two continents that hold a special place in my family's hearts. Because Ghana played a big role in helping me develop into the person, son, and brother I am today, I want to give back a small portion of everything it has given to us.

"A fresh challenge starts today. I'm going to start fighting for Ghana's T-shirt with all of my might and all of my effort. The captions on a video uploaded by Inaki Williams state, "I'm one of the Black Stars.

Andre Ayew responded to Inaki Williams' post on his page by writing, "Welcome home, brother."
