I Don’t Know What to do to Get Black Stars Job - Tanko

Ghana coach, Ibrahim Tanko says he is not in a rush to coach the senior national team, The Black Stars.

Tanko, who was the Black Stars B coach, has been yanked off that position with Great Olympics Coach, Annor Walker taking his place in a recent reshuffle by the Ghana Football Association.

The German trained tactician opened up on national team duties in a recent interview on the Nabila Show.

“I think every coach will love to coach the Black Stars.

“I always take this advice from my brother Anthony Baffoe who tells me God’s time is the best.

“If God ordains that I’m going to be a Black Stars coach so be it if not, it’s not only Black Stars that you can coach.

“The experience I have, outside, club, national team and all those things, I don’t know what I have to do to get the job.

“But we have a coach, let’s all support him and let’s hope that we are going to break this our 30-40 years of African Cup of nations winning cup.” Ibrahim Tanko told Muftawu Nabila on the Nabila Show.

Ibrahim Tanko has previously served as assistant to Kwesi Appiah at the Black Stars before coaching the national U-23, the Black Meteors.

He was assistant to German Volke Finke at the Cameroon national team.

He has had stints with Freiburg of Germany and Urawa Red Diamonds of Japan.
