United Arab Emirates ( UAE ) third - tier football club Al Hilal United has unleashed a painful defeat on the Ghanaian side Kumase Asante Kotoko the Porcupine warriors in a preseason encounter on Thursday.
The said preseason friendly match saw Asante Kotoko handed a lone goal to nill in favour of Al Hilal United in the first preseason encounter in Dubai at the Al Hamriyah Sports Stadium.
The defeat of the Porcupine warriors went viral on various social media platforms and has catch the attention of the football fans on social media.
One Quobby Wiredu cited an example of Real Madrid who lost to Rangers who were struggling in Scotland during preseason but are today at the top of the Laliga table. Adding that people who are criticizing the Porcupine warriors for their defeat are not being realistic.
However, another social media commentator sees the action of Kotoko as mediocrity by traveling all the way from Ghana to play a third division team in Dubai. Saying that " What is even the pedigree of their top teams in their top flight league in the first place?
