FIFA World Cup

Which Team Stands the Chance of winning the 2022 World Cup

The opening match at Qatar 2022 will be played on 21 November 2022 at Al Bayt World Cup Stadium, which is due to be inaugurated later in 2021, while the final will be played at the Lusail World Cup Stadium which is scheduled to open next year.

Brazil and France are 6/1 joint-favourites to win the World Cup 2022 with bet365, with England and Spain 7/1 to triumph in the winter tournament.

Holders France are 6/1 to become only the third team in history to retain the World Cup, after Italy in 1934 and 1938, and Brazil in 1958 and 1962. Les Bleus are joint-favourites with Brazil to lift the trophy in Qatar after beating Spain to win the Nations League final.

Kylian Mbappe scored a contentious winning goal in that match, but there is no doubt about the quality in a France side that includes the likes of Paul Pogba, Karim Benzema and Hugo Lloris.

Brazil are also 6/1 to win the World Cup and, despite losing the Copa America final to Argentina in the summer, retain that position for next winter’s tournament in Qatar. The likes of Neymar and Thiago Silva will see this as a last chance to win the prestigious trophy.
