Akonnor grateful to Ghanaians

Former Black Stars coach, Mr. Loss,Akonnor broke his silence after the incident with an emotional farewell message to the whole of Ghana at large.
In it, he thank the President of Ghana , His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo and the Ministry of Sports. He also did not forget to thank his players and the entire Ghanaian population for the opportunity to serve.
“I’m grateful to H.E President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the Sports Ministry, my former boss Kwesi Appiah, the leadership of the GFA, colleagues I worked with, players and Ghanaians for the opportunity to serve. Wishing the team all the best Thank you Ghana,” he tweeted.
Mr. Akonnor was appointed by GFA as the head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana replacing Coach Akwasi Appiah in January 2019 but failed to impress.

After supervising a total of 10 matches, Akkonor won four , lost four and drew two thus giving him a win rate of approximately 40%.
But in actual fact , the match that broke the camel's back was the loss against South Africa by one goal to none.
