GFA Shortlists French Coach For Vacant Black Stars Job

The Ghana Football Association has shortlisted French coach, Philippe Troussier for the vacant Black Stars job.

The Black Stars have no coach at the moment with the position left vacant after the departure of ex-Ghana international, Otto Addo.

Otto Addo led the Black Stars to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar but failed to qualify the side out of group H with just three points to spare after three group games.

The Black Stars second game was against South Korea and they performed better after beating the South Koreans by 3-2 to raise hopes.

Their third and final game of the group however ended in a bad defeat they lost 2-0 to old foes, Uruguay to exit the tournament with just three points and from the group stage.

The Ghana Football Association is now in a hunt for a new coach and one coach who has been earmarked by the Ghana Football Association for the job is French coach, Philippe Troussier.
