GPL top scorer Yaw Annor arrives safely in Egypt, set to sign for Ismaily SC

Top scorer in the just ended 2021/22 Ghana Premier League, GPL campaign Yaw Annor has landed safely in Egypt ahead of his proposed move to local side Ismaily Sporting Club.

The forward, left Ghana on Monday to the North African country and, is set to put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the three-times Egyptian champions.

The player is expected to undergo a medical at the Ismailia-based side on Wednesday after which he will sign the deal if he passes the test.

Annor, scored 22 goals for AshantiGold SC to finish as top scorer in the GPL ahead of Asante Kotoko's Cameroonian striker Frank Etouga Mbella who scored 21 goals.

He was initially linked to a move to Kotoko who will be representing Ghana in the CAF Champions League next season but, the Porcupines will have to look elsewhere to support their attack ahead of the new campaign.

Ismaily will hope the addition of Annor to their lineup, will strengthen them for the reminder of the Egyptian campaign as they lie in the bottom half of the table.

They are 15th on the ladder with 20 points after 22 matches, just three places from the bottom position.
